The leaders who perform at their best have a thinking partner
Coaching and mentoring support for senior leaders, directors, chairs and business owners, and development programs for teams navigating transitions, challenges and the ongoing complexity of leading at the highest level.
At the senior level, the challenges are rarely technical. They’re about clarity, confidence, and the capacity to lead through complexity.
A career transition with no obvious path
New role, new level, or a shift that requires more than you can work through alone.
A challenge or blockage won’t resolve
A difficult team dynamic, board misalignment, or a decision that feels stuck.
High-potential leaders underperforming
Capability is there, but something is limiting effectiveness or your confidence.
Leadership teams that underperform
Skills are strong, but relationships, alignment or trust are the constraint.
Who is this for?
First CEO role, NED appointment, or chair of a board or committee. Excited and determined, but it will be different from what you’ve done before.
Established and successful, but wanting more without knowing what more looks like. Transferable skills, new sector, or complete reinvention?
Successful career, but a major challenge right now. Not ongoing support — just a safe space and experienced ears to explore options.

The outcomes speak for themselves
What leaders and organisations ask before engaging
Do I need coaching, or is this more like mentoring?
Most clients don’t need to sort that out in advance — I work across both streams. Some sessions are structured around a specific decision or capability you’re building; others are closer to an experienced sounding board drawing on my own time in chief executive, chair and board roles. We shape the mix around what’s actually useful to you, not around a fixed method.
Isn’t this for leaders who are struggling?
No. Most of the leaders I work with are performing well and want to keep their edge, not fix a problem. The more common trigger is a bigger mandate, a harder decision, a leadership team that needs to move faster, or simply wanting a second, independent perspective before you commit to a course of action.
What’s the time commitment for a coaching program?
A typical coaching engagement is one session every two to three weeks. 3-month programs sit at five to six sessions total; for 6-month programs, 10 to 12 sessions. The exact cadence depends on the nature of the challenge, and sessions are scheduled flexibly around executive calendars.
How confidential is this, really?
Completely. What’s discussed stays between us. That matters more, not less, at senior levels — you’re often thinking out loud about board dynamics, a difficult colleague, or a decision you can’t yet share more widely, and you need to be able to do that without managing how it lands.
How is this different from talking to a colleague, mentor or trusted adviser I already have?
The people around you have a stake in the outcome, or in you. I don’t. That independence is what lets a conversation go somewhere a well-meaning colleague often can’t — direct, unfiltered, and without the relationship management that comes with talking to someone inside your world.
Great leadership isn’t just knowing more.
It’s thinking better.
