As a principal with Executive Central, Denise is part of a team where every member comes from an executive level across business or government sectors. Executive Central is a member of key government sourcing panels across Australia.
Denise commenced her professional career as a policy analyst with the Australian Government, working across the Australian Taxation Office, the Tax Agents Registration Board, and the Departments of Communications and Industry and Commerce. Later she was a policy advisor to the Federal Industry, Technology and Commerce Minister, Senator the Hon John Button. She has also undertaken contract roles with the NSW Government.
Denise has senior executive experience in companies in the highly regulated telecommunications and financial services sectors, and has been responsible for liaising with regulators on their behalf. As a consultant, she has prepared successful funding applications for clients under federal government schemes and as chief executive, prepared submissions to government and parliamentary bodies, and given evidence to Senate Inquiries.
Denise was a part time Commissioner with the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, the statutory authority charged with regulating commercial fishing in Australia’s exclusive economic zone, and chaired the AFMA Audit and Risk committee for five years.
